Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Eiendom, consolidated his first place in the SC Ranking after his victory at Jizerksa Padesatka this Sunday. He tops the ranking with 40,339,942 points and is still followed by his teammate Tord Asle Gjerdalen with 39,231,329 points

Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Koteng, had to drop out of Jizerksa Padesatka right after the start due to illness and lost her third spot in SC Ranking to Jizerksa Padesatka winner Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team. Britta has now 38,289,915 points and Astrid is fourth with 37,689,625.

In the top ten, there is only one other small change. Stian Hoelgaard, Team Koteng, climbs one step to 7th place passing Katerina Smutna, Ed System Bauer Team.

A bit further down some young skiers are climbing in the ranking; Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, from 28 to 23, Stian Berg, Team Kaffebryggeriet, from 32 to 27, and Max Novak, Team Ramudden, steps up from 52 to 46 after his strong sixth place at Jizerksa Padesatka.

Youth bib leader Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, also takes a big step from 70 to 58 after finishing 6th this Sunday.

Four athletes moving in the top 100: Petter Soleng Skinstad 101 to 92, Jenny Larsson, Team Ramudden, 105 to 94, Pawel Klisz, Ed System Bauer Team, 104 to 96 and finally Johannes Eklöf, Team Ramudden, takes a big step from 115 to 99 after a great race this Sunday. Eklöf finished 17th at Jizerksa Padesatka just ahead of his Swedish fellow countryman Daniel Richardsson, the former relay Olympic and World Champion.

The SC Ranking is open for all participants in any Visma Ski Classics race, either Pro Tour or Challengers event, including all age groups, gender and performance levels.

The points are calculated based on the percentual time a skier is behind the winning time in his or her respective gender with an exponential drop of points. At a Pro Tour event, the winning man and woman both receive 2.000.000 points, and at a Challenger event, the winners collect 500.000 points.

Each skier can include the results from his or her best 20 races within 24 months, and the best skier, regardless of gender, with the most collected points takes the number one spot in SC Ranking. There are also podium bonus points awarded to the top three skiers in each gender; a Pro Tour event winner gets 200.000 points, 2nd place brings 100.000 points and 3rd place awards 40.000 points.

You can personally check the SC Ranking list here. By joining the Visma Ski Classics family on MyPages, you can also be ranked among these top skiers and start collecting personal points, pins and many other perks that are offered to the members of the club.
