Competitions

Champion

The yellow Champion bib are worn by the male and female athletes with the most current Champion points before each race. The overall winner is the athlete with most Champion points after the season in each gender. Yellow bib holders are permitted to use a yellow race suit and hat. Awards will be handed out at the Visma Ski Classics Final Gala.

Sprint

The green Sprint bib is worn by the current male and female with the most current Sprint points. There are 0-2 sprints in the events. The ten fastest male and five fastest women split times at the sprint lines will get points. The overall winner is the athlete with most sprint points after the season in each gender. Green bib holders are permitted to use a green race suit and hat. Awards will be handed out at the Visma Ski Classics Final Gala.

Climb

The squared patterned “Lumberjack” Climb bib is worn by the current male and female with the most current Climb points. There are 0-2 Climb checkpoints in the events. The ten fastest male and five fastest women split times at the climb checkpoint lines will get points. The overall winner is the athlete with most Climb points after the season in each gender. “Lumberjack” bib holders are permitted to use a patterned race suit and hat. Awards will be handed out at the Visma Ski Classics Final Gala

Youth

The pink Youth bib is given to the best male and female athlete of age 26 or below. The age of the athlete is determined by the year the Ski Classics final take place. Points in the Champion competition are used. Youth bib holders are permitted to use a pink race suit. Awards will be handed out at the Visma Ski Classics Final Gala.

Pro Team

The Pro Team competition is determined by adding the Champion points from the Pro Team´s best two male athletes, the best female athlete, the total sprint points taken by the Pro Team in each event, the total climb points in each event and 50% of the total youth points in each event. The Pro Team with the most total points in each event will receive Pro Team points. The total Pro Team points after the season will decide the Pro Team competition. Awards will be handed out at the Visma Ski Classics Final Gala.

Visma Alp Trophy

The Visma Alp Trophy is decided by adding the champion points in event 3, 4, 5 and 6, all taking place in the Alps. Awards will be handed out at the Visma Ski Classics Final Gala.

Visma Nordic Trophy

The Visma Nordic Trophy is decided the adding the champion points in event 8, 10 and 11 and 12 all taking place in the Nordic countries. Awards will be handed out at the Visma Ski Classics Final Gala.

Visma Skier of the day

After each event Visma Ski Classics Race Director will award the Visma skier of the day. The award is handed out if a male or female skier has significantly tried to set pace in the race. Awards will be handed out at the flower ceremony after each event.

SC Ranking

All Pro Team skiers are ranked based on the amount of points they have collected at events the latest 24 months. This system, called SC Ranking, describes the skiers performance over time. SC Ranking is used show the results from Visma Ski Classics Races from the past and the ranking dating back 24 month.
